You can apply for financial support at the job centres, the Bremen Social Services Office or the Bremerhaven Social Welfare Office.

If state support is not possible in individual cases, the hardship fund of the State of Bremen is available as a fallback solution for absolute emergencies. It is intended for people from Bremen who have a low income or receive transfer payments and are in an exceptional situation due to illness, a special family situation or for other serious reasons. Your competent authority or one of the advice centres will take care of the application.
